Since 2004, Eaglepalooza has been one of the most memorable student activities for The University of Southern Mississippi. This free event, sponsored by the Student Government Association each year, unites the University, those from the Hattiesburg community and beyond.
Funding for this event is crucial, without it the event cannot survive. Each year, SGA strives to take Eaglepalooza to a heightened level, but this year state-wide budget cuts left a deficit in funds needed to execute an event of this magnitude. As a result of this budgetary setback, Association leadership was forced to make some tough decisions and recently announced the cancellation of Eaglepalooza after 13 successful runs.
Eaglepalooza serves as a great tourism opportunity, hosting many who travel from outside of our local region to attend. We ask for your support of this Southern Miss tradition that has the strong reputation of consistently bringing immense musical diversity and solid entertainment to Hattiesburg. Eaglepalooza has reached a record 8,000 attendees in past years and we hate to see it go!
