College of Business and Economic Development Study Abroad Scholarships

The University of Southern Mississippi and the College of Business and Economic Development have a long and storied history of providing study abroad opportunities for our students.  Since the mid 1970s, we have taken hundreds of students to study in foreign countries.

Studying abroad is an incredibly enriching experience for our students.  Not only do students learn about a different country and culture, but through this experience, they also learn to appreciate their own country of America even more.  What used to be considered a luxury for the student experience, has become essential in developing our students into broadly educated and sophisticated business professionals in the global economy.

The flagship and oldest study abroad program for business students is the British Studies program, which is based in London.  In more recent years, the College has developed programs in Italy, based in Milan and Florence, and Japan, based in Tokyo. We want students to have options to learn and study in a region that interests them the most.

This fundraising initiative will ensure that more students will have the financial means to take part in such life changing programs.
