Build Healthy Minds and Happy Hearts with CBH!

The USM Center for Behavioral Health (CBH) is the premier behavioral health clinical training facility in the Gulf South region for training future psychologists and counselors. With over 65 active graduate clinicians and 10-12 faculty supervisors operating at any given time, this center offers state-of-the-art training experiences for future doctoral-level clinical, counseling, and school psychologists as well as master’s level licensed professional counselors while providing evidence-based assessment and therapy services to our regional community.

By offering services at a low cost, sliding scale fee, the Center for Behavioral Health is able to provide services to many individuals that would not otherwise be able to access care. This academic year, we have already served 285 individuals, many of which would be unable to afford mental health care. Specifically, up to 17% of the individuals are uninsured, and up to 48% are underinsured. We are proud to support our campus and community by providing high-quality, low-cost services to our community! We need your help to support the continued advancement of the Center for Behavioral Health. Partner with us as we work to build Healthy Minds and Happy Hearts in our community!

------

$25

Therapeutic Toy

We often need various toys and materials to make therapy engaging and fun for children. This amount could provide one therapeutic toy or resource (therapy board game).

$75

Treatment/Assessment Manual

We offer cutting-edge, evidence-based services in the CBH. That means we often are investing in treatment manuals. This amount could provide one therapy manual.

$500

Evaluation Kit

We offer evidence-based, comprehensive assessments/evaluations in the CBH. That means we often are investing in new and updated assessment materials. This amount could provide one new assessment protocol kit such as intellectual or neuropsychological testing equipment.

$1,000

Telehealth Technolodgy

Many of our therapy room computers are dated and unable to run our electronic medical record system and are not equipped for telehealth delivery. Updating our service rooms with the capability of delivering telehealth with in-room devices as well as accessing clients' medical records within sessions will greatly increase our ability to provide care to many individuals - minimizing geographic barriers! This amount could provide one new computer!
